SOPHIE BELLARD-PICAVET
After an accomplished career as a senior French civil servant and as a European diplomat, I transitioned to documentary photography in late 2022. I completed the “Transmission” photojournalism training provided by Hans Lucas/Territoire Numériques. As a member of Hans Lucas photojournalist agency, I have published illustrative photographs and reports on French and international society and current events in various national and international digital and print media outlets and news agencies (AFP, Alpine Mag, Belga, La Croix, L’Humanité, Jeune Afrique, L’Echo, Libération, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Le Nouvel Obs, Marianne, Moto Légende, Notre Temps, Pyrénées Magazine, Radio France, RCF, Reuters, Le Télégramme, La Vie, La Vie de la Moto). Based in the northern Hautes-Pyrénées on the border of Gers, I also cover international news stories (Africa, Europe, United States).
